Q1.Why is the printed silver color gray with low gloss?
Insufficient stirring of settled silver powder or excessive water on the plate. Reduce water supply and stir ink thoroughly to restore high-gloss silver.
Q2.Why does printing show through with poor hiding power?
Increase ink supply appropriately and reduce printing pressure; ensure sufficient ink film thickness to enhance pigment hiding performance.
Q3.Why do finished products yellow and discolor during storage?
Oxidation caused by silver ink exposure to air. Store in a sealed, light-proof container to delay oxidation and yellowing.
Q4.Why does emulsification, plate scumming, and ink buildup occur easily on press?
